Fifteen classic, popular Wisconsin summer resorts

Sincere thanks to the many Wisconsin Public Radio callers who shared their favorite classic summer resorts when I recently was a guest on “The Larry Meiller Show.” Here are 10 of the locations that were mentioned:

    speak glowingly of Voss’ Birchwood Lodge in Manitowish Waters. In Aug of 2011 I went due to the beautiful, nostalgic pictures on line. I was shocked upon arrival. Totally run
    down, overgrown, no beach, no bridge, dirty cabin. Paid $135. for 1 night and left next morning. I can’t express my disappointment, and I fail to comprehend how anyone could recommend such a place!!!!!!
